Multi Function Wheel

My wife has a 1999 328i SE but without the multi function wheel. As these are pretty much the norm I'm thinking of fitting one, (ebay £250.00). My question is this is the wiring already in place for the stereo controls as I know it is fitted as standard for the CD changer if fitted or not. And also will it be a headache to fit the cruise control + costly.
Any ideas.
