Disagree.

Tinting can seriously improve a cars looks. Just don't go OTT.

hmmmmmmmmmm

that site is very impressive, but the law says you can't tint the driver's or front passenger's windows at all, so all other tinting on the car looks a bit weird IMO.

cheeky example I know, but that's my opinion, make of it what you will.

I have to say that if a car has all its windows tinted it looks cool, that is why all the car ads show them with it.

But if you want to stay legal, you can only tint the rears and they all look sh!te like that IMO. It doesn't matter what kind of car, I've seen lovely Skylines ruined by this look. With the front windows clear and the rears tinted, it makes the driver look like some kinda half-arsed chauffeur....

And sooner or later you'll get some over zealous member of the Securitati making you peel it all off !

That's not actually correct...

The law states that the windscreen must let 75% of light through, and the front side windows must allow 70% of light through them.

^^^^ Correct! My VW is tinted to the legal limit. 30% fronts. I suggest you find a company that just does tinting and nothing else as they will use the best tinting material and also will fully understand the regulations. There are still far too many companies putting BLACK tint on front windows and oddly these seem to be executive cars and not just the 'boy racer' types.

I stand corrected. Thank you.

But my opinion is still unchanged.

Should bear in mind that BMW's are usually lightly tinted anyway, so you would only be able to use the very lightest tint they do before going over the legal limit.
