Hello All

Has anyone put a cage in their E30 or E28?

I'm looking at weld-in and bolt-in options, so any comments would be appreciated.

Cheers,

DTC

I am also looking at putting one into an E30...Speak to someone like the Roll Centre, they deal with all the available options.

Rollcentre, and safety devices both have designs ready done for the E30. There are plenty of companies who will design one for you. I'd go for a weld in cage personally, not someting to skimp on.

I have a Safety Devices in my E30 with harness bars. Other recommended cages include Custom Cages.

For extreme punishment, triangulation to front strut towers is beneficial. I haven't got it and wish I did

Is yours a pre-Poland cage or a recent one?

Me neither, and i've not heard anything positive about them. Apparently the wending of the first few left a lot to be desired but was wondering if it's improved.

Custom cages do a very nice cage for the E30 which is cheaper, lighter and more comprehensive than the SD one, it's what most of the Kumho BMW cars have, very good indeed

I've got the Sparco multi-point weld-in one in my E36 for the Kumho which is very good, but sure they do them for the E30 too.

Speak to Domonic at www.xlraceparts.com/ as he's pretty cheap and very helpful, plus has raced E30's as well as E36's.
