Best money holding convertible £20k budget?

If someone had £20k to spend frivously on a BMW convertible, if only to keep it for six months to a year. What would be a suggested purchase? Bearing in mind that said purchaser would wish to retain as much of intitial outlay as possible.

(children are added extra here i'm afraid, so must unfortanately be accomodating - though no car seats involved)

Buying now to sell in 6 months will definately more money that normal.
Convs sell for more in summer.

I'd say you'd probably be best off looking to pick up a 330 Sport vert on maybe an 02 plate with a fair mileage for around the 18k mark. They're always going to depreciate of course but I'd guess that would be slightly slower than pricier newer models. Don't forget the new vert may well be out next year which usually has a knock on effect for the older models values.
