ABS kicking in too soon?
Discussion
In the 530 i was coming up to a small round-a-bout and wanted to turn right. As i was coming up to it i was breaking, but didn't see that there was a pot hole about 10meters before the line. I go through the pot hole whilst breaking and it felt as if the ABS had come on.
Is this supposed to happen?
It was a fairly big pothole as i heard a bang on the suspensions (looking into getting the pothole filled) and it hasn't done the shocks any good, but i'm a bit worried that the ABS came on as i thought that this would only be applied if i slammed my foot on the breaks.

I sorted out a squeak on my brakes and made sure that I used copper grease to minimise any squeaking. Ended up causing the ABS to kick-in well early, but only because the braking was slightly compromised. 10 miles later and its back to normal though. The BMW system is pretty good and advanced, but can be fooled by reduced braking or potholes though... most probably pefectly normal...
Try getting the brakes nice and warm (if not hot) and try again on a smooth surface. If it is still causing an issue then its worth getting the brakes checked. ABS rarely causes issues, it either works or it doesnt! So chances are that any problems are disk / pad related which can be cured simply.....
