I've just got my 530 Sport, and it came with a TV and Sat Nav. They weren't options that I was particularly after, but now I've got them, I'm glad the car has them. However, as analogue TV transmissions are due to be turned off in the not to distant future, I'm a bit concerned that my TV will be rendered useless. Does anyone know whether there is/will be a conversion kit available to convert the analogue TVs to Freeview? I'm sure BMW must have thought about this one, because there are going to be a lot of BMWs with knackered TVs when analogue transmissions get switched off.

Still on the TV theme - I've noticed that there is an AV channel on it. Has anyone had any experience of plugging in an external device via the AV connector?

Thanks in advance,

Dan.

Dan - you've got until 2012 before the analogue transmitters are switched off in the uk so I wouldn't worry just yet...

I thought there was talk of them being switched off next year? Has that been put back then?

Thanks,

Dan.

The switchoff does indeed begin next year - the last changeover is in 2012 but many areas of the UK will be done long before then

I think they are doing in phases from south to North, starting next year.

Although being realistic I'd guess it will be pushed out a year or so!
