Guys,

On my recently aquired daily hack I have a brake issue....

I have a shake when braking on the motorway which I know is warped front discs

This will soon be sorted as Ive just ordered some upgrade parts

ATE Power Discs Front
ATE Solid Discs Rear
Dot 5 silicone brake fluid
Goodridge 6 piece hoses
Ferredo 2500 Pads

But the problem is at the moment when I start I get the check light flashing on the dash and the brake light on the ceiling by the rear veiw mirror stays on for about 30 secs.is this because of the warpped front discs?

Does it go off when you press the brake pedal?

Just checked on mine and all warnings on the check panel are for bulb failures etc. It'll be the brake light warning, it flashes until you press the brake pedal and tehn goes out if your lights are fine.

Are you sure you want to be using Dot 5 silicone fluid ?

I don't believe it's a good idea to put silicone fluid in a system that has previously had regular stuff installed. Something to do with the seals breaking down or something.

You would be better using Dot 5.1 which is not silicone based.

Ian.
