First post in the BMW forum!

Anyone know if the 6 series is i-pod/aux ready?

I've one for the weekend and wonder whether I need to start buring CD's or not!

Thanks

In a word, no.

You can get an iPod port fitted into the glovebox at the dealer, but only in place of an autochanger and I've never seen one, so it probably won't have it. And the head units don't have an auxiliary input.

Oh yeah, and the CD changer only takes CDRs, not CDRW. The head units take both though.

Cheers! It's not that laptop music friendly is it. I don't have the original CD's anymore - all 800 albums are on my i-pod.

bugger.

No, the aux port is alongside the CD changer (well it is in my M5 anyway).

Ah, in which case it probably is in the 6-Series also.

You can barely fit the CD's into the meager bit of changer you can access in the Z4!
