Door handle probs- E46 coupe

A funny thing happened on the way home last night...

I wound the drivers window down and there was a bang. There was no apparent damage and the windown then wound up and down fine.

However, when I got home, I couldn't get out! The door handle now won't work.

Is this likely to mean new parts, or just a small repair I could do myself?

Anyone had a similar prob?

the interior door handles are a known issue. Get teh dealer to fix it.

I remember the dealer telling me that there was a recall on these, as mine were a tad difficult.

Thanks- I called the dealer, no recall sadly.

I booked it into a local specialist, and on the way there managed to lock myself out of it, with the keys in it and the engine running! Nice one... the missus had to go home and get the spare key for me.

The part is about £22, and 1 hr fitting so no biggie.
