Does anyone know where the slot is to plug in the component used to reset the service indicator?

Or does anyone know any other ways to reset the service indicator on the E32?

Really appreciate any help!

Thanks

This is what it looks like on my M3,

It is a socket attached to the bulkhead near the fusebox it is covered with a screw on cap about 2 inch in diameter.

You can clear the service by shorting the service reset pin to ground I believe but please seek further advice before doing so.

I followed the procedure outlined here: (essentially short pin 7 to ground for 3 or 7 seconds)
www.unofficialbmw.com/e36/electrical/e36_reset_service_lights.html
on my 1993 e36 325 and it worked as described.
