Does anybody know if BMW offers any kind of crate engine program or if replacement engines are availabe from them. Particularly the M5 V8 and V10. I know they will be very expensive but that isnt an issue...only the question of availability is an issue. Who would one need to contact to get this information?

Thanks

Seriously, have you tried asking a BMW Parts dept?

maybe one of the official tuners (Alpina, Hartge) or unoffical ones (CA Automotive, Active Autowerks etc) might be able to negotiate better details with BMW ?

Try FAB - www.fabdirect.com/index.html

They handle just about any BMW and break them according to requirements. They can provide complete engines for just about anything.

BUT, take a look at:

www.fabdirect.com/index02.htm

Possibly the first full write off of a new M5. Makes depressing viewing, but we have NO idea what happened but only a matter of time.

Seems a lot of Beemers have set on fire internally. Wonder if the owners pissed someone off...? Some nice motors there - what about the one with 14 miles on the clock - Legendary...!
