how I go about having my air con checked for a leak?

Take it to a garage, they should be able to add a UV dye to the gas so that when it leaks they'll be able to see where from. I bet there are other methods, but this is what I had done when I suspected a leak.

I think I have a leak as I had it regassed recently and still no cold air.

Linda - I don't know how near you are to Banbury, but there is an independant auto electrical business who specialise in air con. Will be waaaay las expensive than a BMW dealer, and probably more experienced in air con matters.
