And what are the gains with installing this as i'm always contomplating on going down the tuning route with my e36 M3 evo.....

....leading onto any suggestions with tuning accessories for them, best power and torque gains etc ?

John.

dont go gruppem replica, they are designed for 316-328. they will strangle an m3.
either get genuine gruppem or go to e36coupe.com and look up davef and get one of his custome made k&n jobbies with a heat shield.

mine with a chip and a gruppem rep was making 290hp. i took of my gruppem and with the davef kit and a cold air feed (comes with the kit) was making 309hp

Cheers,
Brendon

Cheers for the info Brendon. What sort of cost's am i looking for the above as my other option was to fit a supercharger, CA Automotives of which i've read about fit them, which would almost certainly up the torque and place it in the 360ish BHP bracket.

Cheers,
John.

Yep I looked into a turbo kit and SC kit and would go down the SC kit path. The research I did suggested 380hp with the SC kit which is instanteous power vs a turbo and the associated lag. As a side note you will be fine with your normal M3 clutch, which is good for 400hp.

CA are good but a tad expensive. I think I was looking to get a SC kit fitted for £5k total. Remember if your buying one it will take a mechanic approx 10-20 hours to fit.

Brendon

So it looks like i was being rather conservative with my power suggestions. I'll make a point in catching up with you mate on the next run then we can have a good chat then.

Cheers for the info.
