parts prices and independent servicing in East Midlands

Hi all. I've just been quoted £450 (parts only) for a new brake master cylinder for a 1995 e34 540, from a main dealer. Is there anyone else who'll sell me something a little cheaper? Also think I'll go elsewhere for the fitting. Is there a general consensus on a good independent garage somewhere in the Notts/Derby/Leics area?
