BMW 535 d and DMS Upgrade
Discussion
Hello everybody
I'm proud owner of a 535 d and I'm - in general - very happy with that car. Now, I'm considering a performance-upgrade with DMS (www.dmsautomotive.com. Everything with and around DMS sounds very impressive:
-the power-delivery after the upgrade (335 bhp and 685 NM)
-the number of upgrades without any problems
-the test-results, published in serveral magazines (BMW Car Magazine, Evo)
Does anybody has an experience with the DMS-upgrade of an 535 d (or with other models)?
I would be very grateful for your comments!
Thanks a lot and best wishes

Hi Zod
Who is Norm?
He wouldn't be much help to you, I'm afraid.
I spoke to Mike Cooper at DMS and he said virtually nobody bothers informing the insurers, as the mod is undetectable, by dealers and insurers alike.
If the map is overwritten by the dealer (doing other work) they will reload for free.
I have to say that the company must be making a fortune, they are fully booked and at £1000 for an hour's work must be reeling in the lolly like crazy.
