Hello everybody

I'm proud owner of a 535 d and I'm - in general - very happy with that car. Now, I'm considering a performance-upgrade with DMS (www.dmsautomotive.com. Everything with and around DMS sounds very impressive:
-the power-delivery after the upgrade (335 bhp and 685 NM)
-the number of upgrades without any problems
-the test-results, published in serveral magazines (BMW Car Magazine, Evo)

Does anybody has an experience with the DMS-upgrade of an 535 d (or with other models)?

I would be very grateful for your comments!

Thanks a lot and best wishes

Hi
As I've said before here I've used DMS both for my M3 and 320d and was very pleased both with the noticeable improvement and their service.

Had my 535D M-Sport breathed on by DMS almost as soon as i took delivery & the performance enhancement is amazing.

Puts the trusty diesel well into Sportscar performance territory with straight line performance to pretty much match a standard M3.

Hi w8pmc

Thanks a lot for this info. May I ask you, how many kilometers you already drove until now?

Mine was a dealer demonstrator / Dealers MD's car & had 7500 miles when i purchased it. Car had the re-map done straight away & i've covered 1000 miles since i aquired the car.

What is the situation with warranty and insurance if i get my 535d uprated by DMS?

I'd inform them and pay the extra 20% or so...no point in trying to save a couple of hundred when you've spent £40k on the car

I spoke to Mike Cooper at DMS and he said virtually nobody bothers informing the insurers, as the mod is undetectable, by dealers and insurers alike.
If the map is overwritten by the dealer (doing other work) they will reload for free.

I have to say that the company must be making a fortune, they are fully booked and at £1000 for an hour's work must be reeling in the lolly like crazy.

I would like to say thank you for every report you made! It was very helpful for me. I will have the upgrade done by DMS and afterwards, I will report to the forum!

Wish you a very happy weekend!
