CD Changer E46

I now have my E46 318 and have found a panel in the boot (on the left) which opens and I find two plastic shelf looking things but no wires for a CD changer.

Does anyone know if the wires would be hiding behind the shelf things (they look sort of removable but don't want to take them out unnecessarily) or if this means I am not pre-wired......?

Yep, the wires should be behind the shelves - They were in my E46!
