BMW Z3M Colour
Discussion
I've got a Z3M Coupe. The first owner was BMW Motorsport, and though the car was originally delivered as Estoril Blue, the Motorsport guys took the thing apart and painted it Phoenix Yellow - it was done to coincide with the then new M3 launch (the M3 launch colour was Phoenix Yellow). I've had the whole things stripped back to to nuts and bolts, and need a bit of advice.
1) I'd like to replace the suspension. The original suspension was never really a bogus issue for me, but it does sit the car very high. If you guys have any suggestions, I'd like it to be something that is an incremental improvement on the original, rather than a radical departure. I don't want it riding too low, or too hard - I'd hate to upset the car's already lovely handling balance.
2) I'll leave it on the standard alloys - any suggestions on tyres that suit the car best for road and occasional track use?
3) I'm going mental trying to decidde on what colour to go for. Not including Estoril Blue, or Phoenix yellow - any suggestions? I don't want to make it unsaleable, so am trying to persuade myself not to paint it white. The car has black leather throughout. It also only has 24,000kms, and the current work is brought on solely by the fact that even though the Phoenix yellow application was extremely thorough, the finish wasn't as good as I'd normally accept from an M-Car. What started out as a bit of titivation has now turned into a massive project. I even contemplated turning it into a race-car, but will probably want to sell it at some stage.
Any suggestions and/or pictures would be hugely appreciated. In return, if someone can host them (and if any of you are at all bothered), I'll post pictures of the ongoing work, and of the suggestions proffered here perhaps being put into effect on my Coupe.

In terms of colour why not try Laguna Seca Blue - VERY rare and looks the biz.

Imola Red. I would say Black, but if you've got an all black interior then it'll just be a bit dull!
Suspension - Bilstein/ACS Sports equivalent is a good option, KW do some too. Have a look on the z3mcoupe site as mentioned above - plenty of info. Should cost you less that £800 all in.

As long as you don't go for Bavarian balls-up like this
Do you want an original BMW colour?
If not the shape of the car would be able to carry off some pretty interesting colour choices:
Rimini Red
Powder blue:
Not sure if they'd go out of fashion too quickly though?
I really like Laguna Seca blue but if you have the choice of any colour you might as well go for something a little left field.

Thanks for all the feedback, guys. I was thinking of going for Daytona Grey - it's the new dark grey metallic on the Audi RS4. Saw it yesterday, and preferred it to any on the BMW greys. If I was keeping the car long-term, I'd fancy it in red or white, but would like to move it on at some stage. What do you guys reckon? Will it invoke the wrath of Jehova to put an Audi colour on my BMW?
