I remember seeing this ages ago just as photos, from memory it was an E30 with an E34 M5 3.8L I6 engine with a monster turbo fitted. Love the amount of opposite lock he has to use to keep in in a straight line when accelerating

It's stupid really, too much power to use, too much weight up front and so on, but somehow it's still uber cool and I have a strange desire to have one

Holy crap - did you see the size of the turbo on that thing? My god, you dont get much bigger than that in a road car...... its as big as yer head...

Mind you did you see how fast the needle moved when boost came in - thats one mother of a E30. Though have to say that he's braver than I! There would be no way I would give it full Johnny-large-potatoes if I was loosing traction like that.

Impressive stuff - tapped in the head though...

not an m5 engine that, inlet manifold and rocker cover are wrong.looks like an early 12valve 535i or 525i engine which makes it even more impressive.

yep it definitely isnt the 3.8 M5 engine, that looks like an M20 engine!

That isnt a turbo by the way....thats a 2nd engine...blooooooody hell!

Definitely not usable everyday
Imagine trying to give it the berries on a roundabout

There was a 500bhp one (touring) in Performance BMW magazine a couple of months ago, I cant imagine what 900BHP would feel like

If its 900 or not I dont know. But the way that the speedo needle moves when the bloke boot it is pretty shocking. I can believe its 600+ since its breaking traction at speed very easily. But 900 - well thats rather a lot and it costs plenty to get that type of power....

Who needs 900 BHP... I seriously embarrassed a brand new 330D this morning on our local back roads in my trusty old £500 E30 Touring. God I love these cars

Ye gads, that looks like a barrel of fun!

Not an M5 lump for sure, looks like my old E28 528 lump with one hell of a hairdryer straped to it!

Anyone for turbo lag? I wonder how long the thing takes to spool up??

looks pretty quick but not 900 bhp quick. I'd say half that and it would still go well

900 sounds doubtful, but it still looked a beast to handle.

Can't access the link, but is it a black E30 M3, (Swedish) reg'n NCK 614?

If so, it'll be the 875bhp one featured in the July 04 issue of Performance BMW mag (It's the most powerful road-legal BMW in the world, apprently!)

Engine is a turbo'd 3.8l, 6cyl, 24v M5 engine (with a huge list of other mod's)
