E46 with twins?
Discussion
Sorry for the monumentally boring question, but we're considering an E46 3-series to replace my 911. We've got twins arriving this September and I am wondering whether the boot is big enough for the average twin buggy. I had a E46 coupe a few years ago, and the boot always seemed pretty big.
Any help/commiseration greatly appreciated

Don't know kow big a twin buggy is compared to a mono-kid one, mate but buggies, pram chassis, bikes with the wheels taken out all fit in the boot of my Touring (with the rear seats up). Having had an E46 saloon too, boot footprint is not dissimilar in the Touring, just higher. Both are bigger than the coupe. Good luck.
You will need something bigger than the 3 series. We struggle to get the twins and all associated gear in an X5 and when we had a 3 series courtesy car it was a joke. The mamas and papas twin aria puschair went in the back but as per earlier comments not a lot else. Good luck with the twins....they will be hard work but great fun

had an x5, swapped to an e46 touring, got 2 kids 1 dog, you wouldn't want to go smaller but it copes no problem. and i like to drive it much more than my x5's.
Thats interesting, we are considering chopping in the 3 touring for either a 5 touring or an X5 (another baby on the way). Is there any more space in an X5 than a 3?
Mike,
Grab yourself a E46 330i Sport Touring (PETROL, not weasel). Give it a couple of mild tweaks and I think you'd be a happy man.
The boot takes a load of stuff and with four adults and the assoc gear, she still shifts rather nicely...if you are local to Fleet or Guildford, feel free check ours out.
