E30 325i Sport Price help

Going to see a 325i Sport tomorrow, 1989, 95K, FSH, recent major service, everything working, 2 new rear tyres. According to the owner it's in very good nick, only thing he said was some wear on the driver's seat. Leather interior.

He's asking 1600 ono. Seems like a reasonable price according to some other adverts I've seen, what do you guys and gals think ?

That sounds far too cheap to me - especially with that mileage.
What colour is it ?
Check that its a genuine sport, not a 325i with bodykit. Lots of imposters around and lots of owners don;t know what they've got.
'Sports' had black/anthacite headlining & visors. Also had an LSD I believe.

It's white but it's north west Scotland so kind of out of the way for most buyers.

Is white a hindrance for resale ?

Doubt it - there aren't many of these cars (good ones) around for buyers to be too choosy.
Personally I think Black looks best, followed by Dolphin Grey.

Make sure you get pictures up when you find one !

Yes agree that black looks best followed by red, that E30 forum is down right now but looks a goodun.

Checked with the owner, genuine sport, on the V5 and he says he checked that out when he bought it.

Really good 325i Sports I would expect to start at £2.5-£3K, but condition is everything on these cars - and everyone's opinion is different as to what good condition represents. As mentioned, look for anthracite headlining on genuine sport models. No major mechanical gremlins on these cars, and the M20 engine is very strong.
