NEED HELP! NEED MORE NOISE!!! ALSO BMW CAR CLUBS?

I posted an earlier topic asking about an exhaust system but alas that is out of my price range at the mo 
I've just spent £600 on wheel refurbishment and a new rear screen so an £800 exhaust is out of the question just now.
It's a 1999 M Roadster I have and I know it had the same engine as an E36 M3 so does anybody know of good induction system to get a bit more grunt? Also I've heard of reductions in power with induction systems in somecases, how can I avoid this if this is the case?
Also on a totally different matter does anybody know of any good bmw car clubs to join?
