320d oil light/oil pump/oil switch question

Hi

Tuesday night i'd been driving my 320d for about 5 seconds when the oil light came on. I turned the engine off for a minute then drove off again, and the same thing happened. Checked the oil, which was fine. The AA guy said it was probably the oil pump. Took it to the garage who did an oil pressure test which was ok, and said it was probably the oil switch. Then they actually tried driving the car, and apparantly the oil light doesn't come on any more. In their opinion there's nothing wrong with it...

Any ideas what the problem might be?

Any suggestions gratefully received!

Also, can anyone reccomend a decent garage near weston super mare?

Can't help you with the garage, but assuming the car's under warranty, I'd expect more than a cursory investigation before accepting it back. It's not like it's not a critical problem is it.
