I have major problems with my new M5 and I need to contact some big honchos at BMW-AG and BMW-GB to get things resolved. Who should I speak with & can I get some email addresses/phone numbers please?!

Thanks.

First stop should be the supplying dealer.

I would be very suprised if they don't help....

Why would GB be interested, Ashok? You bought the car in Belgium, didn't you?

Your dealer in Belgium is the key, but if he is not helping, you should consult a Belgian lawyer.

I want to get the thing certified as a lemon here in the UK first which will help my case if it needs to go to Belgium.

Any helpful suggestions most welcome.

So why don't you take it into a BMW dealer and get them to look at it for you and detail whats wrong? Are you out of warranty now?

This is a new car?

Tell us what's gone wrong.

Surely it can't be that bad-unless it's been built in South Africa?

That is unlikely to help you in Belgium, Ashok. Have you exhausted all avenues with the dealer and with BMW in Belgium?

I am still in the "gathering evidence" stage.

Why..?

Tell the dealer you brought it from that it clearly has a fault and you want them to fix it!

If they can't you would like BMW to replace it.

On a different note what made you buy it from belgium... was to avoid the waiting list..?

Ashok, as you may be aware (I'm steved from BM3W) I have 'successfuly' managed two lemon cases here in the UK, once back in 2002 when I convinced BMW to write off the costs of my E46 M3 and provide me with another one, and more recently in 2005 when I achieved the same outcome for my first 4.8is X5. It's a long process and I can advise you what will work and what will not. If you'd like to write to me at davies_steve@btinternet.com I can share my experiences with you.
