I saw someone the other day in Doncaster with the roof down, it was bloody freezing too. lol

Shouldnt be too long now before the hard top needs to come of.

Having spent most of Autumn trying to find a cheap hardtop I'm so glad I didn't. My roofs been down nearly as much in the last couple of months as it has during summer. Bin the hardtop.

Blimey, I thought the 'soft southerners' line was, well, just that! I'm based in the arctic wastelands of Yorkshire and have had my roof down loads recently. Having said that, the heated seats have proved their worth.

Get the top off this weekend, it's spring now. Allegedly

Been using the Griffith for a couple of days as the E39 is off the road.

It was a nice day, cold but dry so it was off with the roof.

I've never felt the need for a hardtop in my Z4, it's snug and well insulated and at every opporunity I can get the top down.

Was going to do it last weekend but glad I didn't given how cold it's been this week! As soon as it gets a bit warmer I'm undoing the roof, tying it to the back of the garage and going for a drive

I used a hardtop on my E36 convertible whilst I was waiting to get the hood replaced (after it had been slashed ), but I found the extra weight of it really effected the performance, and when I took it off again I really noticed the improvement.

Anybody else notice the difference between hardtop/no hardtop??

Hi Turbo tim,

I had never really thought of the extra weight on the Hard top but obviously there is! (I nearly broke my back trying to get the top off on my own on Saturday!!)Needless to say that it is still on there and I will be waiting for an extra pair of hands.
