Looking to buy a used BMW from Germany or Belgium

Hi people, been watching your forums from afar for a while.....enjoyed it so much I decided to join.

Right, to the point.....A friend is looking at getting rid of his Accord and wants to import a used BMW from either Munich/Hamburg/Dresden or possibly Brussels as there seem to be a lot of BMWs going in Brussels. I would just like to hear from anyone who has had experience in doing this and any pointers you guys might have. Probably looking for and X5 or possibly 5 series. Having seen some of the prices knocking about I find it hard to believe these are true prices.....although heres wishing. I might sell the S and get an X5 instead lol.

Do you all drive LHD over here then?

have always thought i should take the plunge but have not been brave enough so far i have to say.

But am going to get a new car in the next 8 weeks so any comments much appreciated.

His brother has an upmarket Emporium on the same premises all MERC PORK and BMW the site i gave it the younger brother and he speciallizes on MNIs with a few BMWs

Yep we do wright. Gibraltar is a british colony but in some aspects we're typically european lol.

Ok Marki, I think he's just sifting through his options then see what he decides. Although, I'm actually tempted to sell off the S and get a car with 'more seats' lol.

Are you from Germany Marki?

Also, is there anything he should look out for in terms of recalls or known bad wear and tear for the 328Ci? I think hes most interested in a 328.
