Upgrade for 530d

As mentioned, I've a 530d M Sport and been thinking about having the engine upgraded. I've read quite a bit about chips and remapping and wondered if you guys would be kind enough to share your own experiences with me and help make my mind up.

Look up DMS.
They'll give you 260bhp and 400lbs-ft. for little outlay.

But only if you want to waste fuel and not go faster, to any significant degree.

The DMS route is the better choice than Nathan's suggestion.

I'm going for a Superchip on the 530d as it's already worked wonders on the 320d. Reasonable looking graphs on their website. The numbers for my E60 are from 208bhp to 247bhp and from 471Nm to 549Nm. Useful gains in torque from 1,000 rpm and a huge leap at about 2,500 rpm. Biggest improvements are at 3,300 rpm, +97Nm and +45bhp.

I can't comment on DMS but have heard lots of good things, my choice is Superchips mainly as there's an agent nearby.

90-120 in an M5 would give about 15mpg.

DMS are now getting a little more than they were, out of the 330d and 530d i believe. Worth a call i reckon to see what they can do.
