I'm wanting to get hold of some spare Alloys. I have an E39, I'm wondering what other models wheels will fit the same stud pattern. (Wheels will be used for when I'm cleaning the car etc.)

Please help, thanks Mark

Loads of E39 wheels and tyres on e-bay, you should be able to pick a set of 15" rims with tyres (probably just legal) for less than £150 maybe less than £100

these for example

Thanks Mustard.
Anyone know if BMW's use different stud patterns between models or if it's just the offset that they change?

Thanks,
M

Hi,

You just need to make sure they are E39 or latest shape 5 series Wheels (E39 wheels will fit an E34 with hub rings but not vice versa!) as the E39 has larger hubs than earlier models

If you look in your handbook it will confirm acceptable tyre profile/wheel comninations, but the ones highlighted above should be fine

Cheers Mustard, thats the info I wanted, as I have 18" as is, this would be a set (or a couple) so I can clean the others off the car...

Thanks again,
Mark
