I'm currently sizing up options for my next set of mods for my E21 323i (currently a 2.7 litre-as covered in Total BMW Nov 2002).The current suspension is at the limit when I make the next power upgrade to 3.1 litres, port throttles, 292/288 "Rex" cams and an 8000 rpm limit (about 260-270 Bhp)
One of the options I'm keen on is using a combination of E30 M3/Z3M suspension subframes. I'm pairing down the weight of the M20 engine, by using an aluminium flywheel, lightweight tubular exhuasting, reduction gear starter motor and moving the battery to the back. Also thinking about carbon fibre wings and bonnet. This will put the weight balance in the same ball park as the 4 cylinder E30 M3- so I could use the same spring/wheel and damper rates as the production car. Also hoping to use the RHD rack of the Z3M coupe.
Because the car is a daily driver, ride IS important to me.
What I need to do is assess an E30 M3s ride- just as a passenger (don't need to drive one) over some country roads. What is the stock ride like on E30 M3s? Can anyone, perhaps local help?

Cheers!
