i have a 323i v reg.the gearlever gate to go into 5th gear seemed to dissapear yesterday i.e no resistance to go into 5th.today it is back to normal.any ideas.thanks

My E36 328i does exactly the same, so much so that it doesn't want to go into the 3rd/4th gate. Had the stealer look at it loads of times under warranty and they can't find any fault. Now that the warranty has run out, I'm sure they'll be able to find what is wrong with it. Thieving, robbing, stewards of the bar

Off topic a bit, wtf has the warranty gone up from £550 to £750? Have the cars suddenly become 40% less reliable?
