No, not as far as I know, but do check that the TMC feature is enabled. You can tell this by the colour of "tmc" on the display - green means it is, red means it isn't. It depends on which CD is in the drive as the earlier ones were not TMC compatible. Upgrading to a TMC enabled disc will allow your system to display traffic problems etc. on your route.

BTW, the CDs are published by these guys:

First post in this forum

recently purhased an E46 325 that has sat/nav installed. I have read the manual several times in an effort to enable the TMC capabilities, but with no luck.

The disc I am using is 2004 - 2 so I woul dhave thought that TMC would have been enabled.

Any advice greatfully accepted, oh and 'Hi' btw . . .

You need an TMC enabled disk. It usually states this on the disc cover. I've still got a TMC enabled disk for France that I bought from VDO Dayton. I had one for GB but think I must have left it in the car when I sold it. If it's a BMW disk then I seem to remember it needs to be a 7-series CD (which was TMC enabled) otherwise I think they didn't supply TMC enabled discs on 5 or 3 series models until the changeover to the DVD format.

DoctorD, Thanks for that.

I can see 'TMC' indicated at the bottom of the display but it is coloured 'white' as opposed to 'red' or 'green' as mentioned in the earlier post in the thread.

Thanks again
