After visiting my brother at the weekend i'm thinking of getting an iPod, he has a Mini(BMW) and has had it wired to take the iPod. He said that it recognised the iPod as a CD changer, I have a BMW Business single CD unit in my car.
Does anybody know what i would need to get this to work and places where i could get this installed (Manchester)????

Dension makes a product called IceLink which works with the BMW Business Head Unit - retails for about £120 - this allows control of the iPod via the head unit controls. I installed one in my car - works great. You can select the first 5 playlists using the 1..5 buttons on the headunit, or alternatively browse and select all playlists from button 6 (although this is too slow to use on the move). Also shows artist/track on the head unit display.

Alternatively, BMW sells an Auxilary Input for iPod, this allows input from the iPod but you cannot control the iPod or show artist/track names.
