F20 - reversing camera issue
Discussion
Hi all
I have a bit of an odd issue with the reversing camera on my M135i. It is factory fitted from new and I am getting a view as shown (with the blacked out curvature at the bottom of the picture where I assume the car is picking up the bumper) and the sign on the dash. It has been on the diagnostics at both an independent and BMW. This says camera needs calibrating but when calibration is attempted the car doesn't respond and won't allow it. Before I think about next steps which may involve bumper off to check wiring, anyone got any ideas? The dash message coincided with a weak battery that has since been replaced and corrrectly coded to the car.

Ah ok well that's useful at least. This appears to fall into being a known issue. BMW certainly had no definite solution other than next steps remove bumper to check wiring. I'm not 100 percent sure that will achieve anything however.
Yep, I figured what whilst it’s working fine, other than the annoyance of the warning, best to leave well enough alone I will update the thread though if I come across any sensible risk/reward solutions.

But no warning message on the dash yet!
I obviously don’t jet wash that area when cleaning.
It’s one of them: I don’t really use it, but would be annoying if an error message was presented!
