BMW app and service info
Discussion
Had the car (2017 pre-LCI 440i) serviced with an indy who has access to the BMW online system etc. They updated the idrive and the car has no more service warnings and all info is up to date in the car.
Also had the MOT done which I know can be updated by the user in the idrive but my indy did this too.
However, even though the app has a recent status update, it still says "Vehicle Inspection - due 28 April 2025" which I know relates to the MOT. I don't understand where it's getting this info from as the idrive has all been updated. Also, for the MOT, you only put the month and year in the idrive, so how does it know my actual MOT expiry?
The MOT online checker on gov.uk is updated to reflect it's just passed the MOT.
Will this clear after 28 April? Seems odd to me and hasn't happened before...

I had my last MOT done at a main dealer and they updated the I drive but even then it took the app a couple of days to catch up with the new date update.
Thanks - hopefully it'll sort itself out then. Odd that all the service info has updated, just not the MOT. Most important thing is what the car says anyway!Gassing Station | BMW General | Top of Page | What's New | My Stuff
