Hit a small animal - front bumper damage F33

Hi all

Unfortunately hit what looked like a badger - while driving at c50/60mph

Front bumper likely needs to be replaced, and error code for low boost appeared a week later or so. I think probably unrelated to hitting the animal, as I hit it on front left as it was leaving the road -couldn’t swerve to avoid it - it was cold, nearly freezing and dangerous at that speed. Only a few seconds to react

I’ve booked it in at a BMW dealer, the one I bought the car from, even though I’m based in Nottingham. It’s AUC car only 4 months old barely (16 reg). I have a service plan with them too

My concern is if they say that it’s not warranty if the animal somehow made its way from underneath the w car and damaged intercooler?
I’ve been advised - correctly I believe - that I should not try to get anyone else try to fix the bumper before BMW inspect it (Lincoln) as it May void warranty. I heard similar, sounds sensible. They will give a quote for repair bill

Some independent garages quote £300 for paint and fitting and I buy the part — an option if the quote is silly from bmw and if it doesn’t void warranty. Car booked next week.
