All,

Hope you’re all enjoying the festive period. Quick question for those technically minded.

We have an N47 in one of our Family E91’s and the wiring harness connecting the injectors to the ECU has some frayed wiring. Basically the clips that plug in to the injector have some crusty wires attached to them. I’m guessing heat and the angle they’re bent at have caused it. I’ve noticed a 2nd hand harness is about £30, part number 12517802164.

I’d be happy to replace this myself, however would a new harness require coding in any way, or am I being naive thinking it would be plug and play biggrin

Thanks!

Thanks for the reply!

Just going to give this thread a bump to see if I can pick some more technical knowledge from the forum.

The car in question is a 05/2011 E91 N47. The engine injector module according to RealOem is 12518510247. The older version of this harness was 12518507799, I think it's safe to say this won't work with our car as far as I can figure out.

I've found 12518507799 for sale in various places as just the engine injector module which has a clip on the end allowing it to be connected to the rest of the car's wiring, basically a plug and unplug situation. However I can only find 12518510247 for sale as part of a more complete harness and does not appear to be able to be 'unplugged' from the rest of the harness per say.

If anyone is aware of whether on an 05/2011 E91 N47 12518510247 can be unplugged from the vehicle on it's own, this would be greatly appreciated!
