Hi all , im trying to sell my 65 plate f30 330d msport saloon , but not really having any intrest , ive lowered the price to 9.5k ono , but had only a handfull of people show any intrest although none of them seem serious , 7.5k my best offer so far , i paid 14300 for it 2 years ago , its a decent spec being an lci model with some good optional extras on it and in vgc condition , although it has got 125k miles on it , we only selling as got a inoiq5n from tmorrow

Am i being a bit to optimistic asking round the 9 5k for it ?

Thxs in advance for peoples thoughts on this

All by the way im still a bmw man at heart as ive stil got e46 330d touring m sport that i wont sell owned for 15 years !

Ioniq5n is a ss scheme

Where is it advertised? When you say good spec, what has it actually got? Was the 14k you paid at a dealer?

Friend of mine has a 62 plate 330d xdrive, pre LCI - i'm sure he paid sub £8.5k for it privately 18 months ago - I said at the time he had a good deal. Got a couple of nice options: Sunroof, black panel display, HK, wide nav plus the usual m sport bits. Oddly no heated seats though.

F30/F31 prices seem to be all over the place. Wrong time of year to sell as no one will come after work so its a weekend only thing for most people.

See what Motorway & WBAC offer and add £2-3k on top for a private sale

Market is weird; but list it on eBay as a 30 day classified for £20, Car & Classic for free, Gumtree for free and see how that goes

Join the UK Bimmerpost forums too and list it in the classifieds section: https://f30.bimmerpost.com/forums/forumdisplay.php...

Easy to find on Autotrader. Looks nice. Great MOT history. I'd mention the Harman Kardon audio in the description - it's a selling point.

yeah it does look nice, your car has the optional black panel display and the seats have optional coloured stitch and inserts, I'd add those to the advert with the HK mentioned. Split folding seats is quite rare on the saloons too. I'd defo do an ebay classified ad for £20.

I just sold a 2008 E91 330d in 4 days using a classified ad, got within £250 of asking price too.

Just read the advert again - the options are listed, that's got an impressive spec. I'm surprised you're struggling.

A nice car, if it was closer i'd have it! A few pointers though just from looking at the advert;

-The text reads as one big confusing string due to a lack of commas and full stops.
-No point putting "MOT last week" as the advert could have been up 3 months. Just state MOT until 30/10/2025 with no advisories.
-Take the car somewhere more scenic/rural and a less cluttered backdrop. It looks a lovely part of the world but for me the background is distracting from the car.
- Take a picture of the dials with the engine running showing no warning lights etc
-You say its got good history so show it off! Take pics of the I Drive with the services evident, take pics of all paperwork with address etc covered, 2 keys, locking wheel nut etc. Show you're an honest seller.
- Too many pics of the same exterior angles, get some pics of the boot, engine bay, rear seats etc

The car is presented in a very clean condition in and out so hats off to you for that, most people get that wrong!

Mot until 30/10/2025 with no advisories, last serviced on XX at XXX miles at BMW specialist, All BMW history prior to that. 8 Speed ZF sport auto with paddles, New brake discs and pads fitted on XX at XXX miles. Metallic Estoril Blue with Dealer fitted M Performance Style kit consisting of Front Splitter, Rear Diffuser, Side Extensions and Boot Spoiler. 19" 442M alloy wheels in good? condition. High spec including Harman Kardon sound system with Pro Nav, Electric folding mirrors, Black Panel Display dials, Cruise Control with speed limiter, High Beam Assist, Exterior extended lighting, Heated leather seats with memory function, Rear privacy glass, Split fold rear seats and front and rear parking sensors. The car has been reliable and is economical to run, only selling due to an incoming company car.

Something like that as a rough guide

What a day , been bird watching all day as I have a few trees near to my drive and they always decide to crap over my car just after it’s been washed , supposedly had 2 viewings organised for today both no shows !

I’m contemplating selling my e46 and keeping the f30 now got feeling the e46 will sell quicker , I hate messers

It's too expensive that's why it's not sold

If its been for sale for ages on the main platforms with a good advert then it's too expensive

It's at that awkward mileage and still fair chunk of money.

A trader wouldn't buy it unless very cheap - they'd want a big security net for it hanging around

A private buyer is a tough sell with the miles and no warranty

Everything sells when the price is right and the market thinks yours is too high

I had from new a sep 2014 330d. In sep 2022 with 115k on the mileage, I put it in wbac software and it came up with £7k .So when I bought my 2018 335d in sep 2022, I px it at the main dealer with me asking and getting £7k........Not sure if that helps or not but just a heads up..

Looks great. The 442M wheels don't look too shabby either as they like to rot under the clear coat.

Quite depressing really as I paid twice that for a 2016 30d with 38K on it 2 years ago, and with nowhere near as good a spec as yours either. Oh well, at least the bubble has finally burst.

Stick with it; it is that time of year as well.

It's a solid spec, decent car and mileage isn't an issue when it's been looked after & maintained properly! Lower mileage cars aren't always a better bet, more so if they're not looked after...

As said get it on eBay as a 30 day classified for £20 and stick it on Car & Classic and Gumtree too (both free); you've covered a lot of bases then

Sign up to the UK section of Bimmerpost as well as get it posted on there as well in the classifieds section
