How much better is the G29 Z4 than the E89 Z4?

Depends what you mean by 'better'.
I'm fairly sure the Z4 M40i laps the ring faster than the outgoing M2, similar power so it's obviously a resolved, competent chassis.
The previous gen was a bit of a pig to be honest, a mate had the 35i and it felt very soft and roly poly - more of a comfy cruiser than a sports car.
