I have recently bought a 530 d sport (02) and after having it for a couple of months it seems to be taking longer to start. I am not a technical person but here goes: when the ignition is turned it turns over for a lot longer than it used to and then fires up (in the old days I would have said it needed more choke!!) it does this when the engine is warm as well as cold. Does anyone have any ideas before I take it back to the garage under the warranty<

Possibly one or more injectors leaking fuel pressure back via the return side, get them to check the injector leak off rate, I take it the car has never had the wrong fuel in as that can wreck the pumps.

try leaving the ingnition on forr abit longer before trying to start the engine,
