AC Schnitzer uprates BMW 320d

Tweaks add power and sporty bits

AC Schnitzer is to offer a tuning kit for the BMW 3-Series 2.0d.

It consists of a control unit programme that takes the power of the standard engine to 200bhp and maximum torque to 302lb-ft at 2,000rpm. For all engine variants, the company also offers stainless steel rear silencers designed to improve gas flow with chromed tips.

Sports suspension includes a spring kit to lower the car by around 25-30mm. Other chassis improvements include a front strut brace, and bigger wheels. Body kit changes include sideskirts in body colour and new spoilers front and rear.

The interior gets carbon interior trim with a matching sports airbag steering wheel, plus a range of aluminium accessories and velour footmats.

The company showed the car at Frankfurt -- thanks to Sebastian Geisler for the photos.

personally, i dont like the new bmw models, they might be gd to drive and all, but the styling has lost is abit, while the front is gd the back is really bad. in my opinion, this tuned version just emphasises this

Wow they actually made the new 3 series look rather tasty, as opposed to boring, can't wait until they get hold of that 3.0L turbo, then it will go as well as it looks
