I picked up an Imola Red Z3M Coupe on the weekend and was wondering who else on here has one?

Possibly a bit late to be asking this but is there anything which I should know about the car?

DD

p.s. I bloody love the little thing!

You can see the Evo article with pics of my car on that site.

What do you want to know about the car?

Check the tension on the throttle cable. It quite often goes a bit loose, and is a doddle to tighten up. Check z3mcoupe.com for details

Don't panic about the instrument lights, because you didn't know that the knob that turns on the lights, also twists and dims the interior lights. I did

Get a proper 4-wheel alignment done, it transformed mine.

Be careful in the wet (DSC, if you have a S54, will not save you from everything), and get Eagle F1's if you need new rubber.

Enjoy it and try to ignore the price of petrol!

Electric window motors can stick, leaky rear window washer jet and the odd boot rattle but this won't detract from the smile factor !!!

It would be worth checking the oil hasn't been overfilled if it's an S54 also as one of the theories for the shell bearing problem on ZM's.

Congratulations - let's see some pics now!

Oil check is most important - make sure it's not too full or it could go pop as mentioned above.

Come on over to www.z3mcoupe.com if you haven't already, lots to learn there.

Imola Red M Coupe you say? Good choice sir!! ;-)

Don't know what you've come from before, but do take it easy to start with, there's an awful lot of power under your right foot, so be gentle till you're used to it.

Definitely endorse the "get over to www.z3mcoupe.com " comment - great site, helpful folk, and loads of info.
