Garage opinion/recommend
Discussion
Hi new here. Need front and rear crank seal changed on my N54 and saw a recommendation on this website earlier for a garage called PMP cars in Warwick. They’re close to me and “N54 specialist”. Have you used them before? Would you trust them for this kind of job? They’ve got some mixed reviews lately.
Neither job is rocket science.
Is the rear one definitely leaking? It's a fairly involved gearbox off job. More likely the usual/standard/typical knackered rocker cover or gasket leaking oil down the back of the engine.
It's worth replacing the aux belt tensioner as well at the same time.

My concern was their recent reviews on google but that was to do with engine timing, guessing this job isn’t that complicated so should be OK. Is the rear one definitely leaking? Been around rocker cover gasket and oil filter housing several times. It’s dry no leaks there. It’s most likely rear crank seal. Thought I’d get the front one changed too.
