When you say it runs; does it run on all cylinders with no untoward noises and smoke etc?

Did you stop the engine as soon as you realised the water was too deep; or did it stop of its own accord (hydro locked etc)?

If somehow all the waters been pushed out and the engine runs; then you may be lucky to have not dome any major damage; but you'd want to have it thoroughly inspected before the insurers get their hands on it IMO

I'd be surprised if insurance co cover it.

Negligence and stupidity of driver are they insurable?

IMHO they should not be. Look at the vids of Rufford Ford.

It was a horrible accident where the whole passenger side edge of the road had washed away which I wasn’t to know until I started driving the road. This sent me into the flood water. I feel stupid because I live the car but accidents happen unfortunately.

My friend who definitely isn't me, honest, damaged a Range Rover at Rufford Ford whilst attempting to drown spectators.

Exactly; the mods do seem to tidy up soon enough...

But too many eijits that belong more on FB than they do on here; get on to these threads at times and start to ruin it for everyone else...
