Hello all
currently have a stage 1 640d. not dyno tuned was plug and play by celtic tuning.
as with all my cars i constantly get the itch to go further and was wondering how many have gone stage 2 and is it worth it?
intercooler and downpipe installed is quoted at £1200
gearbox and "stage 2" remap at NVM is £750 ish
it'll be around £2k all in
i assume it then would not pass an MOT either
any thoughts?
thanks

It'll pass an MOT if you gut the DPF and make it look like it's still in place. With an aftermarket downpipe you'd have to swap it over every year. Strictly speaking it wouldn't be road legal.
NVM are very well respected.
I only have the alpina map on my 535d and not the XHP but it did make a sizeable difference to the way the car drove after it was mapped. Likewise, after fitting an intercooler that again was another step on. I need to get it mapped again really to really maximise the benefits but it's going so well at the mo I do t really feel the need tbh.
