Hi Folks,

Long time no post, but alas, I have returned.

Will these steelies fit on my m140i.

I fancy something cheap and horrid to throw a set of winter tyres on.

Cheaper and nastier is better, so if there are alternatives that you can suggest I'd be happy to look.

For 50 quid more you could chuck these on and know they fit?

I run some OEM steel wheels from the E84 X1 on mine. Clear the brakes fine. IIRC 7.5x17 ET34 and tyres are 225/45/17.

There's a really handy app called WheelCal that's great for visualizing the dimension changes if you're changing wheel or tyre sizes.

I'm very reliably informed that someone extremely local to me has a set of actually quite clean BMW 236 Alloys with near new Michelin CC2's in the right size for a 140i on ebay for only a tiny bit more than those bare steel wheels...

Looking at this: https://www.auto-treff.com/wcf/index.php?article/4...

You need offsets of around 45 for your F20 140i - so those you've linked to may be poking out a bit

As others have said; best to get 2nd hand OEM alloys that'll fit direct and use them for winters etc...

Cheers Folks! Would the e84 X1 alloys also fit? They are 17 inch and 5x120 but I don't know if they have the same offsett or space for the brakes.

Yep should do. Run the steels so imagine any alloys will also fit…

Thanks Chris, they seem to be even cheaper than the steelies at the moment!

I'm still trying to convince the wife that a diff would help winter driving.
