I get the occasional pong in the cabin of our F11. It's been thoroughly cleaned and I also used a scent bomb thing in there a couple of weeks ago but just every now and then I get a stale smell still. I thought it might be worth changing the cabin air filters but I noticed that I have an option of carbon activated or non-carbon activated. I also see these are a much bigger pain to get at than older BMW's so not wanting to do this twice, what filters should I be buying and where from?

These are the ones I used on my F01; they fit the Fx range:

OEM are Mahle IIRC, Mann do them too.

Cheers for that.

Looks like I could get a pair of carbon activated Mahle ones from autodoc for £37 ish so may go that route. Not entirely convinced on the benefits of carbon activated but it doesn't seem to affect the price much so may as well go for those.

Carbon is anti-fungal/antibacterial etc; so they keep bad smells at bay better than standard ones, even if they get wet smile

And for a fiver; I'd get them off BMWmotormec; least you know they'll be with you in a few days and not a few weeks! biggrin
