E92 Alpina D3 brake upgrade

Hi I've got a 2009 MY Alpina Bi Turbo. They used the the 330d running gear and brakes but still only used the single piston calliper to squeeze the cheese hence i would like to upgrade to a better set of 4 pot M sport type callipers for looks and better braking. I don't want to go down the M3 route as i would like to re use the original hubs and running gear hence is there a simple open to just bolt on some better callipers .

The internet says F30 front Brembos fit. You’ll need the F30 discs too. I don’t know what size wheels are needed to clear them. The E9x 335i/d used 348mm discs. This were fitted to later 330ds. If you have these already I’m not sure the Brembos will be much of an upgrade apart from appearance.

If the F3x brakes fit, you need to suss out of it’s the 340mm discs or 370mm discs as the callipers are different sizes & marked on the rear which discs they’re for
On the F3x cars, ALL F3X 18” alloys fit over the Brembo M Performance brakes (so 345mm rears, 370mm fronts). 17s will not fit, at all

Have you tried more aggressive discs/pads & braided lines; or are you after the looks ideally?

Go for ATE discs, ATE Ceramic pads and HEL braided lines. ATE are OEM, the Ceramic pads are superb with great bite from cold and little to no dust & the HEL lines will give you superb pedal feel... A fluid flush & refill with decent brake fluid will finish the system off nicely

For discs I tend to stick with OEM now (ATE, Jurid, Textar, TRW) and Brembo. As for pads, the aforementioned ATE Ceramic pads are right up there, along with Ferodo DS2500 pads and then OEM BMW pads... Jurid & Textar are OEM makers too; but the 'aftermarket' pads are a different compund to what they use for the BMW pads, so tend to be a bit dustier. Standard Brembo pads I avoid as they're very dusty and can feel quite 'soft' too
I ran ATE blank and ATE PowerDiscs with their Ceramic pads on all my E39s inc my last 2 Japanese import E39s; as well as a previous F01 730D
You'll find them at good prices on Autodoc, just give them a week or 2 to be delivered
I've used Auto Doc but only when i'm 100% sure on fitment as there not that easy to return wrong items to.
I've used Textar and Brembo on my other cars , the Alpina is my daily driver at the moment but picked up a cheap TT 225 yesterday but now looking for a clutch for that for some reason..........

For now; stick with decent OEM spec discs & pads. They'll make a lot of difference compared to the Mtec stuff you've got fitted
Get the part numbers off RealOEM and cross reference with Autodoc, you'll get the right parts then
