Hi Guys
Will be looking to take our extended Warranty early next year when the car gets to three years old. It’s a X3. 2.0d circa 18k miles .

I paid £339 in May for a 335d 66 plate, 57k miles. £250 excess, and I have separate breakdown cover so excluded that. I think it was £410 with £0 excess.

If its due next year, it'll probably have changed by then TBH.

Thanks for that. Just looking for a rough idea, because the car will have done no mileage at all. I do very few short journeys and always give it a good high speed run monthly.

Exactly the same price as I paid, and same excess, back in Dec. Also a ‘66 plate 335d. Also I have Start Rescue for breakdown which is a nominal amount £30 or so, and then similar for each call out, a good price if the car is/expected to be reliable.

When I looked at extending the warranty on my 2016 530d Touring (35k miles at the time) the cost was £70 per month.

£70 a month on my 640d. It started off around £62 a couple of years ago. Excess £250.

My wife's X3 M40d £440 a year with £100 excess.

Both are with the Comprehensive Warranty.

£52 a month with roadside recovery on my 49K 66 plate 330d. £250 excess. Taken out last month.

I added recovery purely because Gen 2 ZF 8HP gearboxes binned off the emergency neutral (via the cabin), so you have to jack the car up and climb underneath to wind a bolt in. What utter genius thought that was a sensible and safe thing to do? I'd rather let the recovery people deal with that.
