M235i steering wheel vibration
Discussion
hi, recently bought 2014 M235i from a dealer , not a BMW one. Wheel vibrates at 70-80mph so guessed tracking needed doing but hasn't made any difference, tyre guy said only 1 front was out. . It does have 2x Goodyear 4 Seasons (these are essentially a winter tyre?) on the front and a pair of Dunlops on the back.
I guess the dealer stuck these 4 on to get it through the MOT. Could this mix and match be the cause? Tyre guy suggested this could be the issue if the tracking didn't resolve it, which it hasn't . I was planning to put decent 4 matching Michelins tyres on it , but was hoping to avoid the expense for a couple more months.
Before I spend £500 on new tyres, could the vibration be caused by something else ? Something with the suspension maybe? Anyone similar experience with a M235? Thanks

Had something simillar on an e92 a while back and it was a sticking caliper on one of the back wheels, only done it on certain roads and the cause was a twisted brake hose.
Also had it on my berlingo van on the front wheel on a 2 month old tyre.
Puncture repair was repaired with a plug, second time this happened with the van and repaired with a plug and both times had wheel vibration, took it to a proper tyre guy and he removed the plug and used a vulcanizer to repair it, no more vibration.
