Am I asking for trouble?

I'm thinking about buying a 330d Touring on a budget of about £9k, so I'm looking at a 5 year old car with around 100k miles on it.

Is this likely to cause me grief and expense over the next two years and 40k miles?

Would I be better off spending another £5k and getting a 204bhp 03 plate car with warranty. Am I going to lose loads in depreciation if I go down this route instead?

Thoughts everyone?

If you can find one with extended warranty, if not, spend the extra 5k...
