Afternoon all, my sister had the aircon condenser replace in her 125i. The garage who did it said all was good and off she went, first off she had an incident where she nearly crashed it, not 100%sure of those details. She went back to the garage and they said it was not running correctly due to the battery being disconnected, she gets home and the car throws up a fault saying steering issue, also the heating is running hot one side and cold the other in the cabin. could the steering fault be down to a loose connection.. It'll be going back tomorrow but im thinking the garage are just going to say that its not there fault etc...Any help please.

Well we need to know if/how the air con working/not working nearly caused an accident for a start.

So was/why was the battery disconnected?

Not sure why you think steering can have anything to do with an aircon condenser, which is in front of the car radiator!

ANY fault could be down to a loose connection.

I suspect they would probably be 100% correct in saying it has nothing to do with them, as they will only have been working on the car over 3ft in front of where it sounds like the issue is, but hey-ho that won't stop you from trying to find someone to blame for what sounds like a random fault on a car well over 10 years old.

That makes more sense as being at least possible.

All you can do is go in & see them, get it checked out & try to be there when they do, or trust them to do the right thing if it is their issue.
